Sweet Purple Cabbage

Serves: 4
  • 1 purple cabbage {1/2}
  • 3 tbsp water
  • 2 tbsp coconut oil
  • 1 tbsp raw honey
  • 1 tbsp sesame seeds {Seaweed Gomasio}
  • Himalayan pink sea salt to taste
  1. Wash the cabbage and peel away the outer leaf if damaged.
  2. Cut cabbage in half and put the other half in refrigerator.
  3. Cut the half cabbage into thin/thick slices.
  4. On low to medium heat sauté the cabbage in water, coconut oil for 10-15 minutes.
  5. Remove pan from the heat, and honey and sea salt to taste.
You can use the whole cabbage just double the oil, sesame seeds and honey. The other half will stay fresh for 1 week in the fridge. Adding the honey after you take cabbage off the heat will protect all the amazing enzymes and nutrients the honey has to offer. I love using Eden Organic's Seaweed Gomasio instead of plain sesame seeds. They are roasted and delicious!
